Dr. Fitria Akhmerti Primasita is a full-time lecturer and the current Head of the English Department at Sebelas Maret University. Her areas of expertise include Media Studies, Cultural Studies, and American Studies. She earned her doctoral degree from Gadjah Mada University and her Master’s from the University of Nottingham, UK. Her teaching and research focus on visual culture, media reception, and feminist representation. Her publications include articles on the representation of Latina characters and audience reception of female action heroes. She has received recognition for her academic service, including the Satya Karya Lancana from the Indonesian government.
