Prof. Mangatur Nababan is a full-time professor who has been with Sebelas Maret University since 1992. He specializes in Translation Theory, Translation Research Methods, Sociolinguistics, and Critical Reading in Translation. His interdisciplinary expertise includes Pragmatics, Discourse Analysis, and Stylistics. He is actively engaged in government-funded research and vocational training for translators at the Ministry of Cabinet Secretary. His research outputs are directly integrated into his teaching practices. As an academic expert, he frequently serves as a keynote speaker, journal reviewer for Scopus-indexed journals, and thesis supervisor for students at all levels. His extensive publication list includes over 30 co-authored journal articles in fields ranging from translation techniques to cultural discourse and ideology. He is a member of the Masyarakat Linguistik Indonesia and has international experience as a visiting professor and journal reviewer.
