Prof. Diah Kristina is a full-time professor specializing in English for Specific Purposes. She has been teaching at Sebelas Maret University since 1986. Her qualifications include certifications in Language Testing, Syllabus and Curriculum Development (RELC Singapore), and IELTS instruction (Leeds, UK). Her teaching repertoire covers Critical Discourse Analysis, Verbal and Visual Branding, Advanced Reading and Writing, English for Business and Publication, and Public Relations. She completed her doctoral degree in Modern Language and Communication from Universiti Utara Malaysia in 2011. Her research interests lie in persuasive language in tourism, resulting in books such as “Bahasa Persuasi dalam Public Relations” and “Verbal and Visual Branding”. She is also known for conference presentations on linguistic branding and promotional discourse. She serves as a professional master of ceremony, interpreter, and moderator, and actively supervises theses and dissertations. Her publications include studies on gender and politeness, presidential debates, and digital literacy. She is a member of TEFLIN and the Association of Indonesian English Department Members. She has contributed as an editor and writer for international academic books and journals.
