Dra. Zita Rarastesa is an associate professor in literature and gender studies. She has taught at Sebelas Maret University since 1998 and earned her PhD from the University of South Florida, USA. She also holds a Master’s degree in American Studies and a Graduate Certificate in Women’s Studies. Her venia legendi includes literature, gender studies, and literary analysis. Her research explores gender identity, trauma, and cultural memory in literature and film. She has published widely and contributed to poetry anthologies. She has held several academic leadership roles and received prestigious scholarships including the Fulbright Presidential Scholarship.
